Luis Montes graduated from Northwestern University in 2001 with a Masters and later that year a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.  His research and thesis in neuroscience involved the study and implications of the asymmetric tonic neck reflex in normal adults and CVA victims.   Luis also received a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from  Nova Southeastern University.  He has practiced and managed in several outpatient rehab clinics and hospitals in South Florida and the Chicago land area.  

In 2004 Luis launched AdvanceMed Rehab Centers, LLC an outpatient physical therapy firm in South Florida with two clinical locations and physical therapy consulting services for start up rehab enterprises.  In 2007 he also collaborated in the leadership of a new out - patient  start up clinic for PT Centers in Boca Raton Fl, an out-patient orthopedic facility of which he served as clinical director and operations manager for seven months before moving to Chicago, IL.  Luis currently works for Accelerated Care Plus (ACP), the leading provider of integrated clinical programs, therapeutic modalities, products and services for geriatric rehabilitation in the United States.  ACP currently serves over 4,200 skilled nursing home facilities, home health agencies and outpatient clinics nationwide.  He is currently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Midwest region and has also served as a Clinical Program Manager and consultant.  As a Director of Sales and Marketing Luis is responsible for the growth and development of ACP's programs across the Midwestern portion of the United States and continues to act as consultant for several therapy programs that work with ACP.  Luis has taught courses for active physical and occupational therapist in various long term care settings focusing on geriatric rehabilitation areas such as Wound Care, Contracture Management, Continence Improvement, Pain Management, Fall Prevention and Stroke Recovery among many others.  Luis is also currently involved in new program implementation and deployment for ACP's new customer base.

Luis has served on the Board of Directors and was the Chairman of the Board of the Midwest Brain Injury Clubhouse and is also involved in various healthcare organizations such as the Government and Policy Section of the APTA, the Health and Wellness and Disability sections of the Chicago Chamber of Commerce and Love for Peru - a charity foundation that helps the needy in Peru with medical, housing and financial needs.
